Foreign Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas Pays Historic First Official Visit to India

The Rt. Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of St. Kitts and Nevis, completed a historic first official visit to India. This marks the first-ever visit by a foreign minister of the Federation to the Republic of India, cementing a shared vision for developmental and technological partnerships.
During his high-level consultations in New Delhi, Minister Douglas met with India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, as well as the Ministers of Health, and Youth Affairs and Sports. The discussions focused on mutual growth in digital public infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and agricultural trade.
A key highlight of the visit was the signing of two landmark Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between St. Kitts and Nevis and India. The first MoU establishes cooperation in sports, facilitating athletic training exchanges. The second MoU focuses on sharing India's successful digital public solutions at a population scale, supporting the ongoing digital transformation agenda and public service efficiency in St. Kitts and Nevis.
